April 7th , 2010 Ride Safely
This is our last grooming report for the season. Time for the grooming crew to get the marina ready for fishing season that opens on April 24th. This last storm series dumped over 2 feet of snow on us. Over 3 feet on Mt. Bailey. Conditions are good and should last until the end of April. Most snowmobilers will trailer their machines out to the Three Lakes Snow Park to ride in the Mt. Bailey, Dog Prairie areas. Current Conditions at 8:00 am: Bright Sunshine Temperature: +20 degrees F New Snow in the last 24 hours: 4" Snow base at 5200 feet: 41" All roads leading to Diamond Lake are open, plowed and sanded. There
are over 300 miles of well signed and groomed trails in the Diamond
Lake area. Diamond Lake Resort and the Oregon State Snowmobile
Association's grooming programs have put the Diamond Lake Area in
the top 15 favorite places to snowmobile in the west. On each sign
post is a number (41 here) that corresponds with a numbered trail
junction on the sign post map. You can see where you are in
relationship to other major trail junctions.
