Winter Recreation

Snowmobiling

Snowmobiling is the most popular winter sport at Diamond Lake. The sport has enjoyed tremendous growth, both in participants and technology of the machines. Today's snowmobiles are safe, dependable, and easy to ride, even for the first time operator.

Diamond Lake Resort grooms the north entrance to Crater Lake National Park. The 20 mile trip to the North Rim Overlook is an easy trail to ride. Once there, you are treated to one of the most spectacular views in the world. We offer guided tours or you can ride your own sled there. Please remember, inside the National Park do not ride off the groomed trails.

We offer guided tours on Saturday and Sunday, and with advance reservations Monday - Friday. We also offer do-it-yourself" half and all day rentals available any day of the week. One must be 21 years of age with ID, valid drivers license or snowmobile operators permit to rent a snowmobile. Only parents may rent snowmobiles for anyone 16 - 20 years old.

GOLDEN TIMES FOR THE GOLDEN YEARS

Senior's Cross Country Skiing Program

Our Senior's x-c ski programs have become very popular. Each year in January and again in February we reserve our lodge just for seniors participating in the Cross Country Skiing Program. You do not have to be an accomplished skier to join in. We have tours and activities for all abilities. We have even added a snowshoe tour for non-skiers.

The program consists of discounted lodging rates, a program fee that covers all activities, guided tours, lessons, one lunch, one Hors d' Oeuvres service, and a buffet dinner each night.

Seniors week is a great time to sharpen your skills, learn new ones, and make some great friends.
